Visitor Information

Since the beginning of the parades in 1935 nearly 1 billion spectators have visited the Redefin Stallion Parades. These presentations are the highlight for breeders, sports and leisure riders as well as for general horse loving people. They have also proved to be a real magnet for the general public at large; to anyone in fact who enjoys the character and atmosphere that such a rural folk fair can provide.

The stallion parades enthral audiences of more than 20.000 people annually. The Parades, which take place on three Sundays in September, consist of a four hour program made up of more than 20 different shows.

Traditionally every parade is opened by the Redefin fanfare band and timpanist. See an exciting presentation by Hungarian riders and our beautiful Haflinger stallions running free in the arena. Another wonderful display is by the show jumping quadrille which emphasises the variety of the show program.

One of the highlights is the dressage quadrille showcasing the skills and beauty of dressage. Carriage driving enthusiasts will see the exciting obstacle driving and a tandem quadrille as well as a six-in-hand quadrille. Another attraction is the sixteen-in-hand carriage with stallions only at the front. The climax of the show is the Roman chariots, drawn by four stallions.

Experience this unique show and enjoy the unsurpassed performances that you cannot see elsewhere: Enjoy exciting riding, fast and athletic stallions as well as the highest driving skills in one of the most beautiful state stud farms in Germany.

The Stallion Parades start at 1 pm.

From 9.00 till 11.00 am the terrain and the stable of the National Stud Redefin can be visited by yourself.

Unfortunately dogs are not allowed on the facilities of the stud farm on parade days.

New in Redefin: EDEKA world of children with pony rides, a bouncing castle, a little train and a petting zoo where many animals are waiting for a tender loving care.
