The State Stud Farm Redefin is the centre of horse breeding for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Our expertise means that the very best quality is assured not only in equestrian breeding but also in equestrian sports, giving us an enviable reputation for which we can feel justifiably proud.

The State Stud Farm Redefin boasts 49 active breeding stallions which are stabled at five different breeding stations all over Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

State stud stallions like the vice world champion D’ Olympic (Donnerhall / Cor de la Bryère), the national champion and elite stallion Juventus (Juon II / Sonnenstrahl) or the show jumping stars Grabensee (father of a German federal champion), Gloriosus and Grabenstern (Grabensee / Juventus) provide evidence of the successful breeding and focussed education and training at Redefin.

The future also looks bright with stallions like Checkland (Check In / Landadel), Cerousi (Cero / Ussuri xx) or the youngsters Bertolini (Belissimo M / Show Star) and Fritz (Farewell III / Londonderry) likely to carry on the successful tradition. It is the State Stud Farm at Redefin’s mission to make available successful stallions with proven track records in competition.

In 1998 Redefin started its own youngster rearing with the goal to keep the best stallions of every age group in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Having successfully passed their performance test, the best stallions are prepared and trained for their roles as state stud stallions, so offering outstanding sports horses of every age group to interested buyers.

Currently more than 20 excellent approved riding horses are for sale. Anyone who is interested is always welcome to visit and try out our talented youngsters.

The performance tests carried out at Redefin have been approved as an official test location for riding horse stallions. More than 50 stallions and 30 mares are evaluated for periods of up to 70 days and then certificated annually.
